By Breya Beck
Tayen Redgate headed out June 5th for the Washington Leadership Conference. She visited many places during her trip including the U.S. Capitol, White House, Arlington National Cemetery, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, Mount Vernon, Ford Theatre, Library of Congress, and Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial. Tayen learned a lot about our Nation's history by going to these places in DC. During the conference they learned how to be open-minded and help each other find their strengths that they can bring to their own home chapters and communities. They also talked about the importance of positivity and how we can spread kindness in a hurting world. They also packed 60,000 meals for the Meals of Hope! The Meals of Hope helps individuals and families in need all over America!
